Lewis Laskin, President
Mr. Laskin is an experienced immigration, education and financial consultant from the Washington, D.C. area. Mr. Laskin oversees the overall operations of the Regional Center and spends a significant amount of time based in Asia. In the past, Mr. Laskin has presented at a number of conferences and events in China focused on EB-5 investments. He was also a member of the Prince George’s County-Washington, D.C. Economic Trade Delegation that traveled to China with County Executive Rushern Baker and former Washington D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray. Previously, Mr. Laskin served as a software engineer at the Washington Post’s WaPo Labs. Mr. Laskin is also proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
Michael Hess, Executive Vice President
Mr. Hess has more than 30 years of senior level experience in corporate finance and investment transactions, as well as residential and commercial real estate development, construction and lending. He has served as Chief Executive Officer of two publicly-traded real estate finance companies. Mr. Hess graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree magna cum laude and was awarded a Graduate Fellowship at the University of Maryland. He has pursued intensive Asian language studies in the USA, China and India, and has extensive professional contacts worldwide including Asia and the Middle East.
M. Kate Weaver, Senior Vice President
Ms. Weaver received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Maryland in 1988 and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. She oversees all administrative and financial functions of the Regional Center. Ms. Weaver is also the President of Fifth Management & Consulting, Inc., where she oversees the management and financing of extensive rental real estate holdings. Ms. Weaver also serves as Vice President of Fifth Properties, Inc., a real estate development and investment company.
Eric Zhu, Vice President of Marketing
Mr. Zhu holds a Bachelor's degree in International Business & East Asian Studies from University of Missouri. He also serves as a liaison for overseas representative companies and student associations throughout China and the USA. As for his cultural interest, he is currently serving as the Director of Business Development for the Biennial DC Chinese Festival.
Brooke Ma, China Regional ManagerBrooke Ma has a BA in Hotel Management from Shannon College of Hotel Management in Co. Clare, Ireland. She is a former reporter for China Daily, China's National English-language newspaper, and has 7 years of experience in international management positions across Europe, Africa and the United States.
Connie Shen, China Advisor and Liaison
Ms. Shen has a Master’s degree in International Studies from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. She is liaison for overseas representative companies throughout China and Taiwan.
Jay Sachdev, MBA, India Regional Manager
Mr. Sachdev is a successful entrepreneur, real estate developer and restaurateur in the Washington, DC metro area. He brings unique experience in project management and administration, as well as a wealth of relationships in both the USA and India. Mr. Sachdev is responsible for developing the EB-5 program in India through regional marketing partnerships. He received an MBA from Hood College (USA), as well as undergraduate degrees in both Commerce and Economics, as well as Hotel and Restaurant Management in Mumbai, India.
Paul Huang, International Business Consultant
Mr. Huang is a licensed business lawyer and engineer specializing in international business development primarily between China and the US. Responsible for over $10 billion in international trade and development over the last 4 years, Mr. Huang has practical work experience in real estate development, leasing, contract review, and infrastructure development projects. He is a principal of the Chinese Television Channel serving the Greater Washington, D.C. area.
Grant Castner, Content Specialist
Mr. Castner received a Bachelor's Degree in Mandarin Chinese from St. Mary's College of Maryland. He has studied Mandarin abroad Fudan University in Shanghai as well as at Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic. In addition to web development and management, Mr. Castner directs EB5WW’s online media initiatives and creates bilingual content for physical and online distribution. Mr. Castner occasionally participates in educational conferences for foreign students studying in the eastern and midwestern United States.
