University of Maryland is a public university, meaning that it is supported and funded by the state government. Situated in the heart of downtown Baltimore, the University is among the nation’s leaders in education, research, public service, and patient care. As the founding campus of the University System of Maryland, the University of Maryland, Baltimore has celebrated more than 200 years of excellence.
Because of the large campus facilities and growing program, the school has a large need for housing for students and faculty. All of the existing housing in the area has a very high occupancy rate. As a result, the school issued a request for proposals for developers to build apartment housing on the university’s campus. Our close business partner, Shaffin Jetha, who we have successfully funded EB-5 projects with in the past, submitted the winning proposal against many other local developers.
Existing bank building to be renovated and a new tower constructed comprising of apartment units, associated amenities, and street level retail
Mr. Jetha will be partnering with Kinsley construction, one of the largest contractors in the Mid-Atlantic.
